A man lost his life on Thursday evening in the Springs CBD after an argument allegedly broke out over R5 owed to him.
According to police, a group of foreign nationals allegedly got into a quarrel after a Bangladeshi national refused to sell vegetables to Pakistani nationals who were R5 short. The suspects then attacked the man and stabbed him multiple times.
“At around 19:00 that evening, our officers were called to the N17 hospital where the victim was identified. He had multiple stab wounds and succumbed to his injuries,” Amanda Greybe, head of communications at the Springs police station told News24.
A case of murder has been opened, but no arrests have been made yet.
